Experimental GitX update 4

The primary features in this latest release are syntax highlighting and blame which is the awesome work of German Laullon. You can download the binary here.

There are several bug fixes and tweaks, the most important of which is that creating gists on GitHub works again.

Absolutely love what you’ve done with this. Was just thinking earlier tonight that Gitx hasn’t been updated in a while and fortunately githubs network graph pointed me straight at this fork.

Has Pieter shown any interest in it? Or is the original mostly dead. The mailing list is a bit spammy :(

Thankyou! You’re doing such great work.

Hey, this is fantastic! I’m really impressed and grateful for your work! Now that that’s out of the way, let me whine about new features I want. ;^)

I’m in the unfortunate situation of being forced to work with Subversion repos at work so I use git-svn to retain the power of git. I’d love it if gitx had some git-svn functionality. Even if there was just a button for “git svn rebase” and one for “git svn dcommit” that would solve 90% of my use cases.

Also, the stage window would be a lot more useful if you could see multiple files at once. Imagine browsing your whole diff and checking off the chunks to stage. For the same use case it would be nice to have the option of a “staged/unstaged” checkbox instead of separate staged/unstage lists. That would make it lots easier to undo a stray click.

Thanks again for doing such awesome work and sharing with everybody!

Oh, one more thing. It would be great to have an interface for stashes. Maybe a Stashes entry on the sidebar and a way to browse the contents of a stash.

    Thanks again!
